ABOUT BOLDCASTER

Why I'm building Boldcaster

I'm Jurre Grimberg, founder of Boldcaster. This isn't a company story dreamed up by an agency. It's why I get up in the morning to work on this.

Chapter 01

What I saw as a consultant

For years I guided scale-ups using Scaling Up and EOS. Good methods, no question. The One Page Strategic Plans were sharp, the rocks were on the wall, the KPIs were worked out. At the offsite everyone was convinced.

Three weeks later, silence. Nobody updated the dashboard. The rocks vanished into a spreadsheet nobody opened. The rhythm depended on me: calling, reminding, chasing. The strategy was there, but day-to-day execution kept breaking down. It relied on two things that run dry: manual discipline and an expensive consultant. I saw it with client after client.

The method was never the problem. Execution was.

Chapter 02

The pattern underneath: the founder's trap

Beneath all those separate problems lay the same thing. The founder was the hub everything revolved around. More revenue meant more firefighting, not more calm. The company grew and became even more dependent on one person. That is the founder's trap: the bigger you get, the more rests on you. Most software makes it worse. Tools record what happened; they don't take work off your plate. They don't fix your operating model.

Chapter 03

Why I started building it myself

At some point I'd had enough of seeing the same gap and papering over it with advice that evaporated a quarter later. Advice changes nothing if the system underneath stays the same.

Scaling Up and EOS stay exactly as they are. What I'm building closes the gap every method falls into: execution. A dashboard that fills itself from your own data. KPIs that turn red per person before things go wrong. A rhythm driven by the platform instead of by you. And an audit that steers on what your company is worth, not just on revenue. I wanted the software I never had as a consultant.

Chapter 04

Founder to founder

I won't sell you a fairy tale. My comparison with Ninety, EOS One, Bloom Growth and Align says plainly where they are stronger, because you deserve a real choice, not a sales pitch. Boldcaster is younger and smaller than the established EOS players, and I don't yet have a network of hundreds of implementers. What I do have is a system that does the work those methods leave to people. If you already use Scaling Up or EOS, you're exactly who I'm building this for. Read how to get there faster.

PRINCIPLES

What I believe

01

Build a company that runs without you.

The goal isn't a busier founder. It's a company that manages itself and is worth more as a result.

02

Radical transparency.

Output visible to the whole team. A-players flourish, and anyone hiding gets found out.

03

Less managing, more leading.

If every light is green, skip the stand-up. The system will tell you when something's wrong.

04

Dutch, and your data in the EU.

The big players are English-only and hosted in the US. I'm deliberately building the option that works in Dutch and keeps your data in Europe.

You'll find all of this in full in our manifesto.

MY PROMISE

What I promise you

That I'll keep building a system that gets scale-ups out of the founder's trap. That I'll stay honest about what it does and doesn't do. And that you won't be left with an empty tool: we load your existing strategy in one go and make sure, together, that it runs.
